Mr. Buskowitz first laid eyes on Boracay in 1985. Although traveling to the island was a bit more difficult then, he would come back often from his native Germany and spend days relaxing and just taking in the sights. The days turned into weeks, and weeks into months and before he Knew it, he had invested in one of the very first high-end resorts in the island. Paradise Garden Resort-Hotel opened in 1989 and filled the need of growing segment of island travelers who sought more than the rustic amenities then available.

After Boracay captured the imagination of the rest of the country and the world becoming a favorite destination for holiday-goers, Buskowitz sold the property and decided to relocate his getaway in a quieter, less-crowded part of the island.
